Pictures and Movies can be shown via the HDMI interface in top quality on every HD television. The 7.62 cm ClearView LCD monitor makes possible the detailed examination of pictures and Movies. Convenient with photographs from unfavourable position: In the Live View mode the theme appears in real time on the LCD monitor. The highly precise auto focus system uses 9 AF view of the field for the accurate capturing of themes, even if these are not in the centre of the screen. In combination with the CMOS sensor, the Canon picture processor DIGIC 4 puts onto effect a 14-Bit image processing for clean colour gradations and naturally working colours. The EOS 500D is compatible to all Canon EF and EF-S lens as well as Ex-Speedlites. Thus each photograph can be completely arranged individually in the camera system.
